I’m Ed Welch – and I fight for YOU.
With over 30 years in accounting and taxation, I began my career managing major accounts at Arthur Andersen, one of the “Big 8” international firms. I went on to hold senior financial roles at a Fortune 500 company and several startups before following my entrepreneurial spirit to open and operate Liberty Tax franchises across the Capital Region.
Over time, I saw a growing number of clients walk through the door with urgent, complex tax problems – back taxes, audit notices, threatening IRS letters. These weren’t just financial issues – they were personal burdens causing real stress. And nothing was more rewarding than helping lift that weight and watching someone breathe again.
That’s why I founded Tax Fighters Inc. – to help people navigate serious tax challenges with steady, experienced support. Whether it’s negotiating with the IRS, stopping collections, or simply picking up the phone when you need answers, Anne and I are here to bring clarity, relief, and peace of mind when you need it most.

After more than 30 years as a media executive leading finance and strategy at some of the nation’s top magazines, including VP and GM roles at Time Inc. and The Hearst Corporation I made a life-changing decision: I stepped away from the boardroom to help build Tax Fighters Inc. alongside my husband, Ed.
With a background as a CPA and deep experience in high-level operations, I now lead the day-to-day management of our firm – making sure every client not only feels seen and supported, but receives the kind of care and clarity they can count on.
