Days away from  the closing on my house,  approximately $140,000 worth of liens (from tax debt) were discovered in my ex husband’s name. I had no idea his liens would prevent me from selling my house and would stop the closing in its tracks. My marriage had broken up and I had to move to a different state. I also had some significant health problems that were instrumental in me having to make a decision to change careers for a lot less money. I was not working during this time and I fell behind on my responsibilite with the IRS. I hired a large company that made promises to resolve all my tax problems. My experience with them was very difficult and for the amount of time I was with them, none of their promises came to fruition. They did not communicate with me, and felt like they were stringing me along for the high dollars I was paying them. The ultimate result was that I was slapped with a payment plan that was very expensive which is NOT what I was promised. After several months of trying to keep up the payments, I felt like I was drowning. I was about to loose hope when I came across an ad about Tax Fighters. I called the number and had a conversation with a gentleman that was clearly a professional with a lot of experience in dealing with the IRS.
